SPHERA: EASYDIVE 360˚

We are at the last EUDI Show, Easydive has booked a space on stage to present his latest product. 

The greatest protagonist, the final surprise, one understands straight away, it is hidden by a red cloth. 

What will it be? It is not very big, rumours start to go round the public, the most strange ones, the less probable. A housing for compact cameras? For the smartphone, to use as a remote control. 

Finally, with a theatrical gesture, Fabio unveils the mysterious object. It is a kind of Arthropod eye fixed on a tripod surrounded by small portholes. It is a housing with which Easydive enters the world of 360˚ videoing and the Virtual Reality. 

An extraordinary housing designed for the Insta Pro 2, which allows to create 360˚ underwater images with a very high quality. Naturally, to produce this latest product, Easydive has used all the technology that he has Patented during these years.

The Sphera 360 is available in three different models: the Basic model includes a supplementary internal battery (with an extra 1.5 hours power supply), battery charger, dome protection cover for travelling. With this version it is possible to attach a telescopic pole and operate through the On/Off switch also the start of the recording or to take a 360 photograph. 

The housing is almost neutral weight in the water, it is therefore easy to handle and hold it during the dive, to create incredible images. 

The housing is in aluminium, with double O-Ring to ensure maximum water tightness and to allow the use in order to reach a depth of -150 metres, as all the Easydive housings. The optical portholes are 6 micro-domes in plexiglass born from the technology developed for the DSLR and mirrorless. 

The closure system uses 4 stainless steel clamps. 

Furthermore, externally there are 1 mechanical switch-on button with double o-ring and a little window in plexiglass which allows to visualise the internal camera display. 

On the top end of the housing there are 12 M6 threaded holes , 2 zincs which protect the housing from corrosion and from galvanic current, and also 2 caps 14x1, which are prepared to host optional accessories like the Vacuum system, video exit on the surface, hydrophone. 

At the base of the housing there are 10 M6 threaded holes and 2 M14x1 caps are expected to be there, for the Silver and Gold Version there is a Fisher connector panel which allows the connection through antenna cable to the Leo3Smart housing for the management of the App, the visualization of the cameras and the access to the parameters. The series of M6 threaded holes on the housing base allow the fixing of accessories like a tripod, Moby, Polecam. 

Inside the housing there are an antenna to amplify the signal wi-fi for the control and vision of the Insta, through the smartphone, 1 supplementary battery to provide power supply to the InstaPro2, a camera fixing system, which is obtained through a slider and a blocking knob. Included in the price a battery charger and a supplementary internal 12.8v - 3.3Ah battery which provides supplementary power of 1.5 hours to the Insta (besides its own internal battery). 

The new Sphera 360 housing has a single mechanical switch control to manage the switching on and off, through the same control switch it is possible to start the video recording or take photos, this according on how the camera has been set-up. 

In the Silver and Gold versions, the management of the controls is done all through wi-fi, connecting the Sphera 360 housing to a smartphone housing through a 2.5 metres connecting cable (the length of the cable can be altered on request). 

The management of the Insta Pro2 is achieved utilising its own original APP, it will be possible, underwater, to switch between photo and video, verifying the image on the display, and the lighting, and change all the parameters allowed by the App, all of this just looking through the smartphone display. 

The Silver version has an extra 2.5 meters connecting cable which connects from one side to the Sphera 360, through a 2 poles Fisher connector, and from the other side through the same type of connector to a Leo3Smart housing. 

Through the Leo3Smart it will be possible to see the image in the display, modify all various parameters allowed by the Insta 360 App. Furthermore it will be possible to switch between the photo and video mode always through the housing Leo3Smart. Currently the Insta App is perfectly functioning with IOS, hence we recommend the use of an iPhone. 

The Gold version has, over and above the Silver version other important accessories like a half-telescopic boat hook in aluminium which is extendable to 2.4 metres complete of Spheras and connection terminal and a support for a removable tripod which allows to change the support underwater with a simple click.
