Francesco Sena

Francesco Sena, was born in Naples on 15/02/1989.

He is an Italian freediver.

177 cm tall, for 64 kg of weight, he has a lung capacity of about 6.5 liters.

Since he was a child he has dedicated himself to the sea and freediving, then transforming his great passion into a job.

At the age of 16 he is already an assistant instructor and competitive freediver, with altitudes already exceeding 50m constantly.

To date, his personal bests are:

-65m Constant weight with fins.

-90m No limits

Passionate about travel, he began to experience seas around the world at the age of 19.

- In 2005 he began his career in the world of freediving competition on the national and international territory

- In 2007 he began his competitive career in the world of Italian athletics, winning several titles.

- In 2007, in Egypt, he meets Umberto Pelizzari, with whom he establishes a relationship of deep friendship and working collaborations.

- In 2009 Francesco officially joined the teaching staff of Umberto Pelizzari, supporting him in internships all over the world.

- In 2012 he became Apnea Academy Instructor, the most prestigious freediving school in the world, founded by his teacher Umberto Pelizzari

- In 2013 Francesco founded Apnea Salento, a freediving school based in Lecce. Thus becoming the reference point for freediving in Salento.

- In 2014 he collaborated with the Air Force, where he held a freediving course for the pilots of the 61st flock of Galatina, Lecce.

- In 2014 he became Testimonial and joined the Atleti Omer Team, the leading company in apnea diving.

- In the same year, he opened his YouTube channel "Francesco Sena" thus starting to publish several spectacular videos on spearfishing, didactic tutorials on freediving and more.

- In 2015 he began the collaboration within the AMP (Marine Protected Areas) where every year he holds prestigious freediving courses in the most beautiful and fascinating seaside resorts of Salento.

- In 2017 he collaborates with the Mexican freediving school: the "Pastinaca Team" where he held Freediving Courses and Internships in Mexico City, Playa del Carmen and Mèrida, in the Cenotes

- Between 2018 and 2019 he collaborates with various schools holding freediving internships between the Philippines and China.

- In 2019 he becomes Testimonial and Brand Ambassador of the companies "Lorenz Watch" and "EasyDive"

I use the Leo3 Wi for my Sony Alpha 6500, and will soon purchase the Sony Alpha 7s III, which I will always use with the same housing. Also when I want to feel freer during my freediving, I carry the Diveshot for my iPhone. A universal housing for any eventuality!
